What this covers

This policy covers every website and app of Show Goods LLC, doing business as The Show Goods Co. ("Show Goods", "we", "us"), and its brands: showgoodsco.com, the Show Goods account, Proscenio, The Show Desk and its newsletter Broadway Quality, Ensemble Supply, Stage Studio and Stage Player. It also covers the Proscenio mobile and desktop apps, and any other Show Goods website or app that links to this page.

"Cookies" here means cookies and anything that works like them: your browser's local storage and session storage, pixels, tags and scripts from other companies. Below, each website and app lists exactly what it stores.

The rules everywhere

• Essential. What a website or app needs to work, such as keeping you signed in or remembering a choice you made. Always on, and never used for advertising.
• Optional. Anything else, such as players embedded from other companies. Off until you allow it, and you can change your mind at any time.
• No advertising cookies or pixels until a consent manager can honour Global Privacy Control and email opt-outs.
• Analytics through our privacy controls. Any analytics or advertising tag on our websites loads only through our privacy controls, so it doesn't run if you've opted out. Analytics that count visits without cookies or personal details are listed below.

Cookies it sets: none of its own.

Essential storage in your browser:

• your privacy opt-out, if you opt out on this browser (local storage, until you undo it);
• a note that the opening animation has played, so it doesn't repeat on every page (session storage, cleared when you close the tab).

Other services: the site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies or personal details. Cloudflare's security service may set a cookie, such as __cf_bm, to tell people from automated traffic; it's essential and isn't used for advertising. The site doesn't embed players or load scripts from other companies.

Show Goods account

The site where you sign in, manage your organization, people and billing, and check out (account.showgoodsco.com).

Cookies it sets: none of its own.

Essential storage in your browser:

• your sign-in, and which organization you're working in, while you're signed in (local storage; signing out removes it);
• during Broadway Media sign-in, a one-time check that the sign-in you return from is the one you started (session storage, removed when you return).

Other services: when you pay by card, you finish on Stripe's checkout page. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud, under Stripe's privacy policy.

Proscenio

Cookies it sets: three session cookies (removed when you close your browser), named CloudFront-Key-Pair-Id, CloudFront-Policy and CloudFront-Signature, set after you sign in. They let your browser load your production's private files, such as media, from our file servers. Essential.

Essential storage in your browser:

• your sign-in, while you're signed in (local storage);
• your display preferences (local storage);
• copies of recently loaded data, so screens open faster (local and session storage).

Other services: none. The Proscenio web app loads no analytics, advertising or embedded players.

The Show Desk and Broadway Quality

Cookies it sets: none of its own.

Essential storage in your browser (local or session storage; stays on your device, always on):

• your free account, while you're signed in;
• which Show Notes you've read for free, so the two free Notes stay open when you return;
• the edition you picked on a Show Brief, and reminders you've dismissed;
• your shortlist of shows, your answers about a past production, and whether you list Show Notes by stage or by topic;
• your privacy choices, with the date you made them.

Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Optional: embedded media. Show Briefs and Show Notes include videos from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) and cast recordings from Spotify. When one of these players loads, YouTube or Spotify receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy. They load only if you allow embedded media, or when you choose to load a single player. Until then you see a placeholder with a link to watch or listen on their site.

Other services: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies or personal details. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is sending a form, when you use one.

Your choices: "Privacy choices" at the foot of every page allows or refuses embedded media, and changes it later. Refusing never stops the rest of the site from working.

Ensemble Supply

Our store for costumes, props and production supplies.

Essential: the cookies and storage the store needs to work, such as your cart, signing in and checking out, and its security checks.

Analytics and advertising: only under the rules above, so analytics load through our privacy controls, and there are no advertising cookies or pixels.

Our apps

This covers Stage Studio and Stage Player, and the Proscenio mobile and desktop apps when they're released.

Apps don't use browser cookies. Like a website's storage, they keep what they need on your device to work, such as your sign-in, licence and settings, and they follow the rules above: no advertising identifiers, and nothing optional without your choice. Uninstalling an app removes what it stored.

Your choices

• Optional cookies and storage. Use "Privacy choices" on the website you're on, where it has one. Refusing never stops the rest of the site from working.
• Opting out of targeted advertising, sales and sharing. Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, use your privacy choices, or email us as described in our privacy policy.
• Removing what's stored. Signing out removes your sign-in. Clearing your browser's cookies and site data removes everything else. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, though signing in to Proscenio needs its three essential cookies.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when a website or app changes what it stores. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
